A TEEN gang linked to a spate of attacks at a Blackburn primary school are thought to be behind damage at a second school.

Longshaw Junior School in Crosby Road, Blackburn, was broken into over the weekend and damage caused.

It took place following similar incidents at nearby Higher Croft Primary School.

Higher Croft already has shutters on doors and windows, but pupils' parents have called for action to protect the Fishmoor Drive school, saying the repeated vandalism was upsetting pupils - some as young as four.

Police today said youths going by the name Higher Croft Riot Squad, thought to be behind vandalism at Higher Croft, were also being linked with the attack at Longshaw Junior School.

Beat officer PC Wendy Eastham said CID teams were now involved. She added: "The community needs to get involved to put an end to this. If anyone sees anything they must come forward."

Longshaw head teacher Pam Barnes was unavailable for comment.
