A GROUP of youngsters working with the Prince's Youth Trust will take a behind-the-scenes tour of Burnley police station.
The visit, organised in conjunction with Business in the Community, will take place on Thursday.
Young people will see the hi-tech communication centre which handles hundreds of thousands of calls from the public each year, as well as special presentations from the Armed Response Unit and Dog Section.
The tour has been organised by local Community Beat Manager PC Sue Sanderson.
Sue said: "We are trying to open up our organisation and let people see how we work.
That's one of the reasons why we've started recruiting volunteers and why, from time to time, we invite organisations into the station to have a look around.."
Other members of the public will be able to tour the police station at an open day on August 7.
