COMPUTERS suffer more sick days than humans due to the flood of spam emails and viruses they have to endure.

Research by Yahoo Mail (www.yahooantispam04.com) for their anti-spam campaign shows that computers can be out of action for six days a year.

This time is spent cleaning machines of malicious files and spam messages that clog up networks and stop people working.

And computer users are getting increasingly frustrated with the work involved with trawling through useless messages as 42 per cent consider it more stressful than driving to work.

Yahoo Mail is aiming to raise awareness of the problem and ensure people can use their computers in peace.
