HELPING others should be fun, according to youngsters at Heaton Park Primary School.
And that is just what pupils had when they organised a sponsor day in aid of a local charity and school funds.
Each class took part in the annual fun day to raise funds for Francis House children's hospice in Didsbury and activities included a penalty shoot-out, sponsored silence, netball shoot and a sponsored bounce.
Youngsters in the infant department had fun on the bouncy castle but due to bad weather the equipment was squeezed into the school hall.
Acting headteacher, Mr Geoff Hampson, said: "We just about fitted the bouncy castle into the main hall. The children had a great day -- they loved it."
Sponsorship money is still being collected by the school on Cuckoo Lane, Whitefield, and the final total will be divided between the hospice and school funds.
