A BUS driver charged in connection with the death of an Accrington pensioner will face a two-day trial in October.
Roy Harris, 44, will appear before Hyndburn magistrates on October 14 and 15.
Harris, formerly of Bolland Close, Clitheroe, and now of Fife Street, Accrington, was charged with driving without due care and attention, and failing to stop, after pensioner Joyce Rigby, 61, was hit by a bus in Accrington town centre.
Mrs Rigby, of Fairfield Street, died of multiple injuries after being struck by the Pilkingtons bus at Accrington bus station, Peel Street, in October last year.
Harris appeared at Hyndburn magistrates court yesterday for the trial date to be set.
