Accrington Stanley have lined up a pre-season friendly with former Premiership side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves, who were relegated to the First Division - now known as the Coca-Cola Championship - at the end of last season, have agreed to play at the Interlink Express Stadium on July 31.
And Stanley chairman Eric Whalley is looking forward to another prestigious pre-season tie.
"It will be a mixed team but they have said they will bring some first team players, so it should be a good game," he said.
And it could be a chance for new Reds player coach Paul Cook to renew old acquaintances. The midfielder made more than 200 appearances for Wolves from November 1989 to August 1994.
Meanwhile, Stanley will switch sports on Wednesday July 7 when they take on Accrington Cricket Club in a Twenty20 cricket challenge match at Thorneyholme Road.
The match starts at 6pm and will feature current Accrington professional Tama Canning, former Lancashire and England batsman Graham Lloyd and some surprise guests.
Accrington Stanley Fans football team will also be sponsoring Sunday's match between Accrington and Rishton.
