A COMMUNITY grieving the death of a newly-wed have filled a book of condolence opened in his memory.
Dozens of people have added their memories of Roger Osliffe to the special book at Whalley Parish Church where he had married Catherine Johnson just five weeks before he died.
The book was opened in the days after Mr Osliffe's death on June 6. His wife was charged with his murder two days later.
Father-of-one Mr Osliffe died on the operating table at Blackburn Infirmary hours after paramedics were called to the couple's home in Green Park, Whalley.
Mrs Osliffe has been accused of murdering her husband by stabbing him with a kitchen knife.
His funeral last week was attended by more than 300 people, as was a service of vigil held in the week after his sudden death.
The book of condolence has been placed at the back of the church where Roger, who ran a fencing firm in Clayton-le-Moors, was christened, confirmed, married, and last week the place where his friends said a final farewell to him,
Rev Chris Sterry, the parish vicar, said: "The book of condolence is very touching and moving to read."
Roger was buried at Whalley and Wiswell cemetery following last Thursday's funeral.
His parents, Ann and Michael, live at Woodlands Drive in Whalley while his son from a previous relationship, Michael, is thought to live near Chatburn.
