A BRILLIANT 5-3 away win at the Welcome Inn A means Derby Hotel A move out of the bottom three and up the Premier League.

Swan A (Rad) had an impressive 6-2 victory over Hamers Arms and have a three-point gap at the top, their nearest rivals Staff of Life B only managing a draw at home to Last Orders.

In the First Division, Roach B are in a similar position after winning at the Pack Horse 6-2, and Old White Horse came unstuck with a 5-3 home defeat to Rose & Crown (Rams). Because of this loss, Old White Horse have been overtaken in the league by Victoria Hotel and Ainsworth Arms, who both had 5-3 home victories.

Four points still separate Fairfield Inn and Old Tower at the top of the Second Division, both recording 6-2 away victories at Pleasant View and Queen Anne respectively. The Horseshoe move up the league by four places after their 6-2 home win against Stonemasons.

In the Third Division, four of the six matches ended all square, only Trafalgar B and Rose & Crown B (Bury) improved their position with away victories.

In the Fourth Division, Swan Hotel B (Bury) are at the top of the league with an impressive five points. The rest of the league are bunching up behind them, led by Bridge A (Dumers) who didn't have a game.

Dusty Miller in the Fifth Division got back to their winning ways with a 5-3 home win over White Boar A, putting them in second position on game difference behind White Boar B, who went down at third placed Globe Inn by 5-3.

Five points is the margin at the top of the Sixth Division. Swan & Railway B recorded a 6-2 away victory at British Queen A who were second in the table but have been overtaken by Beehive B, 5-3 winners over fellow contenders, Masons B. Royal Hotel had a good victory at home to Jolly Waggoners B, taking over fourth spot in the league.

Will captains of Fourth Division teams note that Seven Stars (Bury) have dropped out of the league. In accordance with the rules, Seven Stars' record will be included for the first half of the season, the second half being shown as "no match".
