After breaking into an electrical service firm where he used to work, Kenneth John Davies, of no fixed address, fell asleep under a tank on the premises, Preston Crown Court was told.
The court heard he had been drinking at Blackburn's Top Hat Club before he broke into the premises in Pearson Street, Blackburn.
Police called to the break-in found him sleeping soundly.
