A BURY man is on the path to stardom after winning a spot in the semi-final of a Pontins talent competition.
Vinny Prentice, of Ajax Drive, impressed judges of Starquest 2004, at Southport Pontins, with his rendition of Uncle Kracker's Follow Me.
The 21-year-old won a winner's medallion and certificate along with £20 and an invite to a VIP weekend break at Blackpool Pontins this November for the semi-finals.
If Mr Prentice makes it through to the grand final, on November 27, he is in with the chance to have his own five-track album recorded in a professional studio with photography, CD design and a mini home entertainment system or a professional microphone.
