THE Radcliffe and Whitefield Lions were beaten by the weather on Sunday (Aug 1) as their car boot and gala event was rained off.
The Black Knights MCC Bike Display Team were due to stage a show at Red Bank playing fields, Radcliffe, but could not take their vehicles onto the sodden field.
Organiser Vera Smith said: "The event had to be cancelled for this year. We tried to get another date but each weekend is now booked up on the field. We'll have to just try again next year."
