HOSPITAL bosses came under fire after a ward was closed. The doors to the elderly rehabilitation ward at Park Lee Hospital, Blackburn, were padlocked and chained after an alleged lack of patients. Business manager Wendy Duncan said: "We closed the ward because of very low bed occupancy. We do not envisage it will be permanent."
