ONCE again Blackburn is in the national news for all the wrong reasons yet all the chairman of Lancashire Council of Mosques can do is moan about how Asians and Muslims are being treated or how it will put a strain on community relations.

Well what does he expect? Since it is Muslim fanatics who have declared war on us, maybe instead of whinging about their treatment he should have a word with some of the Asian community - and I reiterate some - about their conduct because it wasn't so long ago an Islamic school was raided. Granted nothing was found but does he really believe the police did it just for the hell of it?

Maybe, too, he could have a word with the person who thought it wise to invite the bigoted fanatic Abu Hamza to Blackburn last year because not once did I hear the chairman of the mosques condemn the visit.

Instead of moaning people should take their heads out of the sand and look a little closer to home to see who is putting the strain on community relations.

FLORENCE SHARP (Mrs), Leopold Way, Blackburn.
