Tiger Woods became the world's number one golfer at the age of just 21, but one pint-sized putter is already making him look like a bit of a slow coach.

For Adam Mujahid can already hit a golf ball 20 metres - and he's only 19 months old.

The toddler first showed his potential when he was able to hold a child's golf club at just seven months old.

One year on and Adam regularly shows off his golfing talent at Lee Valley Driving Range, in Rishton, where he goes twice a week with his dad Imran Yousaf.

And when they are not on the driving range the pair practice their swings on fields near to their Bramble Street home in Burnley.

Imran, who plays at Towneley Golf Club, said other golfers cannot believe what they see.

He said: "When he goes up to Rishton he finishes a bucket of 50 balls.

"He is only knee height but everyone looks in amazement when they see someone so young hitting the ball.

"He plays seven days a week and he will go on playing. You have to get the clubs off him."

Adam may not have the strength yet to have a full swing but Imran has high hopes for him.

Imran intends to book Adam in for some lessons to improve his already blossoming technique.

He added: "He cannot speak yet but as soon as he does he will be coached. His technique is good and he holds the club properly and if he keeps developing in this way you never know.

"There is no harm in dreaming of him becoming the next Tiger Woods."

Mark Ashworth, manager of the driving range, said he has seen the pair at the driving range.

He said: "On a weekend we do lessons for children but the youngest are usually about five and they find it difficult at that age.

"They said as soon as Tiger Woods started walking he could hit the ball.

"So for him to be able to do it at that age is fantastic. It is very very unusual."
