ATHERTON Collieries Football club begin a new season on Saturday in the First Division of the North West Counties Football League and are hoping for more success than they had last term.
The club finished in a relegation position, but thanks to a league restructure, managed to retain their first Division status.
The season starts with a difficult away match at Curzon Ashton, while on Monday, Colls are at Alder House, when ambitious Skelmersdale United are the visitors, kick-off 7.45pm.
