BURY man Mike Kavanagh has been appointed new sales director by leading sandwich, savoury and bakery retailer Greggs North West.
Living in Bury and based in the Manchester bakery, Mike is responsible for growing the sales and profitability of all the 128 shops across the north west region.
He joined Greggs North West from Greggs of Cumbria where he was managing director. With vast experience in a variety of senior management roles across the food and retail industry, Mike, who joined the company four years ago, is well placed to develop the retail estate.
He said: "In the north west, we have great potential to develop sales through growth in our existing shops and expansion into new areas. I am really excited by the vast opportunities available to us within this region and intend to make the most of them from the start."
Ian Pegg, managing director of Greggs North West, commented: "Mike has done a fantastic job in Cumbria and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the north west, along with great drive and determination."
