NORTH End dominated the match before a 37th minute sending off changed the game and left them holding on for a draw.

Skipper Chris Lucketti put the Whites ahead after just three minutes when he hit a powerful drive from ten yards out past Wolves keeper Paul Jones. The ball had fallen to him after David Healy had struck the post.

The hapless home keeper fumbled two more shots before Healy doubled the lead in the 14th minute with a blistering drive following a short corner from Graham Alexander which Jones had no hope of stopping.

North End continued to dominate allowing the home side just one shot in the 34th minute Shaun Newton headed wide.

Three minutes later the game changed when Dickson Etuhu reacted rashly to a challenge from Kenny Miller.

A scuffle ensued which led to Etuhu received his marching orders while Miller got a yellow card.

The impact was immediate as Richard Cresswell was left on his own in attack.

Hero keeper Andy Lonergan kept the advantage for the Whites when he saved what seemed a sure fire goal from Leon Clarke just the break.

North End had to battle in the second half to survive wave after wave of attacks from a rejuvenated Wolves side.

The home side fired wide three times from clear chances and Andy Lonergan pulled off a string of world class saves until the teenager Leon Clarke bundled the ball over the line in the 75th minute following a mad melee on the edge of the box.

Three minutes later he home side were level after a sweeping move from midfield set up Miller to strike home past Lonergan.

North End were forced to hang on as lone striker Cresswell was continually hustled off the ball and by the final whistle the Whites were grateful for a point.
