ANYONE strolling by the Norbreck should not be too alarmed if they see a suspicious black-clad figure scaling down the Hotel's outer walls this weekend.

It's not an SAS training exercise, just kind-hearted local man - Steve Pennington - who will be turning himself into the 'Milk Tray Man' in aid of ChildLine North West on Sunday, September 12.

Steve, accompanied by best friend, Nick Tebay, will don the famous black suit to abseil the 120ft from the roof to the hotel car park before handing his wife a box of the Cadbury's chocolates. He said: "I've always been really interested in hair-raising events and it's brilliant that you can take part and raise money for such a great charity like ChildLine at the same time." Spectators will also get a chance to have a slice of the action with trained abseilers offering full training for anyone wanting to join in the fun. Steve added: "If you've always fancied having a go at abseiling then here's your chance.

"You don't need any experience and it's fantastic fun."
