YOUNGSTERS have been discovering that fun and religion do mix at Bolton Road Methodist Church's summer holiday club.
Volunteers from the church, helped by local Christians, have run the club since 1987. Around 90 children aged from five to 11 have attended each morning session this week.
The aim is two-fold: to have fun through crafts, games and songs, and also look at Christian teachings by examining Bible characters, miracles and the life and resurrection of Jesus.
The week finished with a disco for the youngsters on Saturday and a church service on Sunday.
