SIX semi-detached houses are to be built in Cornholme after planning permission was granted by Calderdale Council's planning committee.
Members gave approval for the houses to be built on land off Spring Villas and members also said yes to an application to build two semi-detached houses on land near the former Railway Hotel, at 408 Burnley Road, Todmorden.
But they refused planning permission for residential development of three houses at Hallings Place builders yard, off Rochdale Road, Todmorden.
Members were told that an application to build two detached dwellings on land at Hallroyd Road, Todmorden, had been withdrawn.
The Todmorden Development Committee meeting gave their approval to 24 houses being built on land at the rear of 30 Cross Stone Road, Todmorden, with chairman Coun Dorothy Jordan saying it was a big rough area and was ideal for building on.
Members also approved two pairs of semi-detached houses being built on the former garage site near 375 Halifax Road, and accepted detached dwellings being built on land next to Woodroyd, Stansfield Hall Road.
