BATMAN at the palace and blokes in white T-shirts getting chased by old men in the commons.

They've nicked all my ideas!

Whilst a lot has been made about the lapses in security and how serious this all is, I get the feeling most of the country was having a laugh.

It makes the House of Commons on TV worth watching.

I'm going to be tuning into BBC Parliament every day from now on.

It's like one of those mundane games of cricket which suddenly comes alight when we get a streaker.

Now, being the urban type I can't fully understand the thrill of the hunt.

Maybe it's the dressing-up bit. It could be the tradition of it all or, then again, it's just a day out.

But if people want to hunt they should have another event once a year - when it is the hunters who are given a five-minute head start.

After which, I can ride on horseback and chase them through the fields with a whip.

No, a large stick - using a whip might send out the wrong message. Sounds fair enough to me. The hunters get their hunt and I get mine.

Even better, why don't we have an urban hunt once a year where we all take to the streets and chase down those people who scratch cars for no apparent reason.

But the protests really did make me think.

For once it was the so-called upper-classes making a fool of themselves.

It goes to show that no matter where you think you are in the social ladder we all lose it sometimes. You can't blame unemployment and poor housing for this riot.

I hope they get stiff sentences just like all those other rioters three years ago. But will they? I think not somehow.

And now I'm being told by the United Nations that the war in Iraq wasn't legal after all.

For a moment I didn't know what to think but I feel I have the answer.

After over a year of thinking about it, it has all become perfectly clear.

The reason GB and TB invaded Iraq was because SH wasn't complying with the UN and was hiding WMDs somewhere.

So to make him comply we had to break a load of UN rules and use our WMDs on the innocent civilians he missed out.

It makes sense, I guess.
