SEDGLEY enjoyed a good first 15 minutes although a penalty kick was missed.
A good run by Walmsley almost brought a try, but the supporting Luke Redfearn was held up over the line.
Park's pressure paid off on 25 minutes when possession from a scrum enabled Walmsley to power his way over to score under the posts, he then added the conversion.
An excellent restart kick put Sedgley under immediate pressure, a poor line-out throw was seized upon by the home number 8 who brushed aside three or four tackles to score, cutting Sedgley's lead to 7-5 at half-time.
Just after half-time Walmsley increased his side's lead to five points, but West Park began to apply sustained pressure and finished the stronger.
With five minutes to go, Sedgley fly-kicked at a loose ball, instead of dropping on it, and West Park were able to kick it over the line and win the chase to score.
The simple conversion put the home side ahead and they held on, despite immense Sedgley pressure.
