JASON Wilcox is determined to make Burnley the latest victims in his fight to cement a first team place at Leicester.
Former Blackburn Rovers winger Wilcox came in from the cold in midweek to score the winner in the 3-2 win over Sheffield United.
Wilcox had been resigned to a third successive game as a substitute until recent loan signing Kevin Harper injured a calf in the warm up.
The summer signing from Leeds United said: "I have found myself out of the side in the last couple of games, although I have come on as sub.
"All you can do is try and impress the manager when you get your chance and hopefully I have done enough to keep my place.
"If not I will have to keep working hard to get in again next time."
Wilcox, 33, added: "We have got a big squad here and players are coming in and doing well.
"But we are going to need everyone this season - there is not going to be a first 11 as such. Everyone is going to have a big part to play."
