A PUBLIC meeting to discuss plans for wind turbines on the moors at Edgworth will be held at the Barlow Institute on October 15 from 7pm.
Campaigners have organised the meeting to update residents ahead of an expected decision on the proposal by councillors next month.
Guest speakers Les Nichols and David Brierley, from Cumbria, will speak about their experiences of living beneath wind turbines during the meeting, which will be chaired by Darwen MP Janet Anderson.
A demonstration against the plans will also be held before the planning committee meeting which takes place on October 21, from 7pm at Blackburn Town Hall.
The plans to install two large turbines at Uglow Farm, Edgworth, have also met with opposition from the National Trust who believe the turbines would cause a visual intrusion on the West Pennine Moors.
