AN Olympic gold medallist is to be the guest speaker at an event to showcase an organisation that helps small businesses across East Lancashire.
Sally Gunnell, who won the 400m hurdles at the Barcelona games in 1992 and now works as a presenter for BBC Sport, will speak at the Rosebud event, at Colne Municipal Hall, tomorrow.
The event has been organised by Lancashire County Developments Ltd, the council's economic development company, and will highlight the work the Rosebud Fund does, to win support from banks, businesses and other agencies.
The Rosebud Fund allows small and medium sized companies to access loans and financial support.
Anyone wishing to attend the meeting should call 01772 551888.
