STUDENTS on a two-year photography course at Bury Arts and Crafts centre looked a picture of happiness after the decision to cancel it halfway through was reversed.
Adult students had been shocked to receive a letter 11 days before the second year of a City and Guilds Photography course from Bury Lifelong Learning, was due to resume at the centre in Broad Street.
They were told there were"accommodation issues" with the new arts and crafts building in The Haymarket, which did not have the room to house equipment.
One week later, the students have been told that the course is to go ahead and negotiations are in place with the owners of the new centre to accommodate the equipment.
Student Victor Horsfield, of Belgrave Close, Radcliffe, said: "We were told everything is back on. It is brilliant."
A spokesman for Bury Council said: "The Adult Education Service has worked hard to find a solution and, thanks to the Lancashire Fusiliers Museum, who are taking the lease on the arts and craft building, the students will be able to complete the course."
