GREAT Harwood Town are on the lookout for a new manager after Dave Bradford resigned yesterday.

Bradford was finding the going tough with the Robins struggling at the bottom of the North West Counties First Division.

Town chairman Bob Holden said: "It was never going to be easy. Dave took over when John Hughes left us at pretty short notice then certain players followed John to Chorley.

"It's all about results, at every level, and we've only won one league game in 10.

"Dave rang me yesterday and told me he was going to resign

"I accepted it and he was meeting the players last night to explain his decision.

"He has worked hard and I would like to thank him for that. I'm just sorry that things didn't work out for him."

Assistant manager Dave Sharples will take charge of tomorrow's league game against Glossop North End.

Holden added: "We'll get this weekend's game over with then make a decision on the new manager in the next few days."
