KEVIN Glendon's hopes of bringing Jody Banim back to Radcliffe Borough have been dashed after the striker signed for Conference North side Droylsden.

Accrington Stanley were looking to sign Banim from League Two side Shrewsbury, with a view to loaning him back to Borough to give him some match practice.

The 26-year-old striker failed to make an impact at Shrewsbury after joining the club from Radcliffe for £20,000 last December.

Glendon said: "I'm disappointed with Jody. Football doesn't appear to be his top priority at the moment."
