COLNE went down to a second successive defeat when they were beaten by Stone Dominoes at Holt House.

The Reds started well with new signing Paul Forsyth having an impressive debut and nearly opening his account, hitting the post after 20 minutes.

Stone hit back with three corners that troubled the home defence and took the lead on 35 minutes when Colne again failed to deal with a ball into the box.

The second half started with Colne searching for an equaliser and they went close with first Gizon and then Haworth testing the visitors' keeper.

Just when they looked like getting back in the game the Reds were hit on the break and fell two behind after 60 minutes when Nick Ward headed home a cross.

The introduction of Webster and Ingham and Simpson injected some life into Colne and after a slick move a Forsyth cross was slotted home by Simpson.

Despite intense pressure in the final minutes the Reds could not break through as the visitors' defence held firm.
