CRUEL pet owners angered RSPCA officials by dumping a starved and injured dog outside an Altham animal shelter.
The three-year-old Staffordshire cross was so thin it was half the size of a normal dog and had open sores on its front legs.
RSPCA workers appealed to readers to help find the owners in order to press charges for animal cruelty.

IT was a one-in-10 million chance that a glass particle got into a sausage bought from Rawtenstall Asda, magistrates heard.
Associated Dairies Ltd pleaded guilty to selling sausages not of the substance demanded and was fined £75.
Rossendale Council took up the case after an Accrington man found a lump of glass in a pork sausage while tucking into his dinner.
The firm said rigorous tests had failed to come up with an explanation of how the glass got into the food.

BLACKBURN milkmen stopped delivering half-pints of milk after customers failed to return their empties.
The small bottles proved too useful for holding paint brushes, paraffin oil and shampoo, according to the National Dairymen's Association. The demand for half-pint bottles increased dramatically when the price of milk went up and many customers reduced their daily delivery.
