RAMSBOTTOM will host the Lancashire Road Race Hill Climb Championship on Sunday (October 17), starting from the ibrary in Carr Street and heading towards The Rake in Holcombe Village. Road closures will be in place from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Walkers, meanwhile, can enjoy "The Two Towers Walk" organised by Rossendale Groundwork and led by local historian John Taylor. Starting at Ramsbottom Heritage Centre at 1.30pm, the walk takes in Grants Tower and Holcombe Tower.
The centre will be open from 10.30am to provide refreshments for spectators and cyclists.
