LANCASTRIAN RK squash first team had a comfortable victory for the third consecutive week.

Only in one matchdid Rochdale make any significant inroads where a crafty, grafting opponent managed to make things tough for Mike Carter. Carter missed a match point in the fourth game and was eventually run out of it 3-2. Graham Collier met an opponent who was a bit green but with an awkward style. Collier deservedly won 3-1.

The other three matches went Lancastrians way without too much problem, Tod Bulmer, Howard Thornley and Mark Taylor all easing home 3-0.

The second team were at home to Ellesmere. Dave Hollingworth gave Lancastrian a three-point lead with his quickest win ever. Mike Howard again showed masterful control frustrating his opponent and winning comfortably 3-0. Bob Morgan, Graham Draper and Dave Haines all had tough five setters, but all failed to clinch the final game, losing 3-2.
