A RURAL post office in the Clitheroe area will close temporarily from November 3.
The sub-postmaster of Sabden Post Office, Whalley Road, has resigned and Post Office Ltd wants to hear from anyone interested in running a post office in the vicinity.
Applicants, who must be able to offer suitable, alternative premises, should contact the agency recruitment section on 0845 6016260 for details.
Rural Transfer Advisor Chris Roberts said: "We apologise to customers for the inconvenience this closure will cause but I can assure them that we are doing all we can to restore counter services in the village as soon as possible."
