RE your front page of October 9 headlined 'You are the one to blame.' We have the leader of the Blackburn with Darwen Council Kate Hollern blaming the County Council for the poor standards at a doomed Blackburn High School.
I would just like to remind her that according to the then council leader Sir Bill Taylor the honour of Beacon Status is a sign of the council leading the way.
He said: "This is yet another example of excellent delivery and partnership is further testament to the dedication of our education workforce who are striving to further improve services across the boroughs."
I believe the people of this borough are fully aware of where the responsibility for this fiasco lies.
