ON Friday, October 15, you printed a letter regarding a sick and abandoned Alsatian dog which a man saw on the road between Slaidburn and Bentham. This story has a happy ending.
A man from Waddington saw the dog when he drove along the road in the morning. It was still there when he came back in the evening.
He rescued the Alsatian, took it to a vet and then took it home the following day. It is being cared for at an Alsatian rescue centre and has gained a substantial amount of weight.
