A DELEGATION of education officials from Siberia were given a warm welcome when they visited Bury this week.
Five delegates from Omsk were in town to learn more about specialist sports colleges.
The visit follows a trip earlier this year by Mr Neil O'Connor, headteacher of Broad Oak High School, as part of a delegation of North West Sports College headteachers visiting Siberia last February.
During their stay, the Russian party of headteachers, education officials and university lecturers learnt about the concept of sports colleges and visited Bury College to find out more about the health and fitness, and health and beauty courses.
