SCARBOROUGH head coach Nick Henry is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Stanley defender Mike Flynn tomorrow.

The duo's paths first crossed at Oldham's Boundary Park in 1987 as they both began their football careers on the same day. And they have stayed in touch ever since.

"Mike has had a very good time in football and he is a very experienced player so I will be expecting him to impress against us," said Henry, who took charge of the Seadogs in the summer.

"I actually tried to sign him when he left Blackpool at the end of last season, but he had already agreed something with Accrington, which was a bit of a shame.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him again at the weekend, I'm sure we'll have a bit of banter during the game and it would be great if we could put one over on his boys."

Henry, who was hoping to offer Darryn Stamp the chance to return to the McCain Stadium by signing him from Chester ahead of the game, has virtually a full squad to choose from.

The only absentees are long term injury victims Keith Gilroy (hamstring) and goalkeeper Peter Keen (shoulder).

Henry had a full compliment of players to chose from for the visit of Accrington, apart from the long term injuries of winger Keith Gilroy (hamstring) and keeper Peter Keen (shoulder).

He added: "Robert Gill has been training all week so he should be right back in contention after his ankle injury and Paul Foot should also be okay after missing out last week with a dead-leg.

"We will need to be at our best against Accrington because they are a very strong and dangerous side that are capable or scoring a lot of goals.

"They went close to promotion last season and with the amount of ex-Football League players in their line-up then I don't think they'll be far away this term."
