A FRIEND occasionally sends me the Telegraph which we thoroughly enjoy, especially the "Darwen" page.
I wonder if it is possible for Darwen folk who remember Allan Bury to contact me (or our friend at Cleveleys: Ms Jackie Perfect, 24 Chatteris Place FY5 1DT, tel: 01253 821810).
We are planning a trip to England next May/June and I'd like to have a surprise get-together for Allan.
He attended Spring Bank Secondary School from 1946-50 and was in the Darwen Swimming Club for years.
He was in the East Lancashire Regiment (two-year army conscription) in 1956-58 and was a painter and decorator by trade.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
