BURNLEY today signed West Bromwich Albion midfielder James O'Connor on a one-month loan.
The 25-year-old midfielder will join the squad to travel to play Queen's Park Rangers this weekend.
Former Republic of Ireland Under 21 International, O'Connor joined the Baggies in the summer of 2003 from Stoke City for a fee of £250,000 and was a regular in the team that won promotion to the Premier last season.
However, this time around he has made just one substitute appearance for the club in the Carling Cup after falling out of favour.
Clarets boss Steve Cotterill knows O'Connor well, having worked with him during his time in charge of Stoke City where the Dublin-born midfield ace began his career.
