BURNLEY will bid for another Premiership scalp after being paired with Tottenham Hotspur in the Carling Cup fourth round.

The Clarets reward for dumping Aston Villa out of the competition is another home tie against Jacques Santini's side - the second time in three years Burnley have been drawn against Spurs.

The two sides met in the third round of the cup in 2002, with goals from Robbie Blake and Steve Davis cancelling out Gus Poyet's opener to seal a classic and set up a clash with the mighty Manchester United.

And after defeating Villa two years on, Steve Cotterill's side will now fancy their chances of causing another upset in the fourth round tie, which is expected to take place on Tuesday, November 9, unless Sky TV express an interest in showing the game live the following night.

Boss Cotterill, who ironically witnessed Spurs' thrilling 4-3 cup victory at Bolton Wanderers last night, said: "It's a good draw for us.

"Spurs are a big Premiership club and we are obviously delighted it's at home.

"It's a nice reward for the fans after beating Aston Villa, but for now that result has gone and the game against Spurs is in the future.

"Before then we have got three important league games, starting at QPR on Saturday.

"So we will focus on that, then Leeds United, then Ipswich Town and then enjoy our cup night when it comes along.

"We will hopefully take confidence from the Villa result, but I would imagine everyone's feet will be firmly back on the ground today."

Meanwhile, Mo Camara reflected on the best night of his Burnley career after scoring his first goal in English football in the thrilling victory over Villa earlier this week.

Camara had only scored two goals in his whole professional career before powering a header past Thomas Sorensen for his first goal in over five years.

The Guinean defender explained: "My last goal was five years ago for Lille against Valence in the French Second Division.

"It was a good feeling because I have waited a long, long time for another.

"When the ball went in the net I ran all the way to the manager (Cotterill) because before the game, the gaffer told me I was going to score a goal.

"I said 'When I score, I'm coming to see you!' and maybe now he will give me a new contract!"

The former Wolves defender, 29, added: "It was my most special night with Burnley because last Friday I made a big mistake against Derby.

"We didn't play well that night and everybody was hungry to do well against Villa.

"We worked hard, and now we need to keep working hard in the league, starting at QPR on Saturday.

"The cup is a bonus, but I think away from home we are playing well, so we need to go to QPR and win.

"If we work like we did against Villa, I'm sure we can."
