WORKERS from Bury Council's Bradley Fold depot are celebrating after completing an innovative course to boost their customer service skills.
The group of 12 employees, in the environment and development services department, are the first to take part in an Employer Training Pilot.
ETPs are funded by the Government and promoted by trade unions through the TUC. The dozen staff work in repairs and maintenance, building, cleaning, transport and refuse collection/street cleansing. '
Councillor Tony Isherwood, executive member for performance and change, said the scheme benefited both staff and customers. "I am delighted that this group signed up to this pilot course and they should be congratulated for the commitment they have shown in earning these certificates."
