DARWEN manager Steve Mullen is getting fed up with settling for anything less than the best.

And the message is beginning to rub off on his players, who are determined to secure their fourth victory of the season at home to lowly Castleton Gabriels tonight.

Saturday's NWCL Division Two draw at Chadderton was a dropped two points as far as Mullen is concerned, so he's keen to take the maximum amount tonight ahead of Saturday's crunch home derby with Padiham.

"We feel we are more than capable of taking three points against Castleton," he said.

"We thought we would on Saturday and it was a good thing we were disappointed. No-one was sat in the dressing room afterwards happy with a point because we set out to get three.

"Earlier in the season we'd have lost a game like that but I'm glad they know they didn't perform because we are looking forward to tonight now to put it right.

"We feel confident we can take all three points, especially being at home."

Darwen have a fully fit squad to pick from, with Russ Wrigley the only absentee because he works on Tuesday nights.
