IWOULD like to reply to a letter on October 18 from Christine Oldfield.
It is ridiculous for Christine Oldfield, the chairperson of Darwen Residents' Action Group, Redearth Triangle, to criticise my local councillor Dave Smith for supposedly not supporting those residents who are against losing their homes.
I also live in the Redearth Triangle and, along with many other residents, fully support the clearance proposals so that we can live in better homes and improve our quality of life.
Everyone in Darwen knows this area has the worst housing in our town and most is beyond repair.
I want my councillors to support my point of view, not those of a vocal minority who seem to want to live in the past.
