BANNERS flew and crowds cheered as victorious World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty returned to his Lancashire home.
Carl, who had won the championship in Australia, popped into his local pub to greet old friends and new fans. He told regulars at the Rock pub in Tockholes how he nearly missed out on the trophy after his boots were stolen the day before the race. But he said a positive attitude kept him on top.
