A LANCASTER teenager has been made the subject of an anti-social behaviour order.

Graham Bousfield, 17, of Thirlmere Road, Lancaster, was given the order for two years after causing problems on the city's Ridge Estate.

Community Beat Manager PC Sharon Turner has described the 17-year-old, pictured right, as a 'persistent offender' with the majority of his anti-social behaviour offences being committed after 9pm around the Ridge estate.

"It is believed he will continue to commit further offences unless measures are imposed to disrupt his activity," she told the Citizen.

"Police consider the ASBO to be essential to address behaviour which causes alarm, harassment and distress on a regular basis. The application for an ASBO WAS considered reasonable, proportionate and justified with the protection of the community as a whole."

Bousfield had been arrested on a number of occasions for offences including being drunk and disorderly, criminal damage and public disorder including causing nuisance in school premises and resisting a constable.

The ASBO means he is prohibited from being drunk in a public place and being outside any residential address between the hours of 2am and 5.45am. He is also banned from entering Ridge County Primary School or Central Lancaster High School and Ridge Square.
