PRESTWICH Heritage Society is closer to creating its own museum after being awarded a £3,000 Kickstart grant.
The grant was approved by Prestwich area board on Monday evening subject to further funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The society's aim is to create a miniature museum facility in the refurbished Prestwich Library, focusing on the local heritage and history of Prestwich.
