FOOTBALLER David Dunn and his soapstar fiance are expecting a baby.
Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward, who plays Katie Sugden, is due to give birth in May.
The news comes just months after the former Blackburn Rovers player, from Great Harwood, got back together with his girlfriend after a split caused by the pressures of their careers.
The 19-year-old actress and the Birmingham City midfielder, 24, are said to be delighted.
An Emmerdale spokeswoman said: "We are thrilled for Sammy and wish her and David every happiness."
Sammy, who has played Katie for three-and-a-half years, will take maternity leave from the ITV1 show in spring.
The couple have been dating for two years and Dunn proposed on Sammy's 18th birthday.
