IN respect of the recently announced proposal that the government is considering issuing identity cards to all citizens, at a cost to each individual, it is my intention not to pay anything towards the cost regardless of the consequences.
When identity cards and ration books were issued in the early 1940s no charge was made for them. Why now should there be a cost?
I invite other people of like mind to support my stance!
ROY MARTIN, Kemp Court, Whalley New Road, Blackburn.
