AS readers enjoy the festive season, The Meningitis Trust would like to flag up the perfect way work off the festive fare and get fit in a great cause.
We are looking for runners to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon and Big Relay 2005 and help raise money and awareness in aid of meningitis.
The disease kills hundreds of people every year, leaving thousands more with devastating after-effects such as deafness, brain damage and, in the case of septicaemia, amputated limbs.
Now is a great time to start training for this beautiful marathon on June 12, 2005. If any of your readers would like to run as an individual or as part of a relay team for the Trust, please call me as soon as possible to ensure a place.
We promise to look after you every step of the way.
