HEREFORD 3, LEIGH RMI 0: LEIGH'S troubles increased when they fell to another defeat to promotion hopefuls Hereford.

With just seven points this season RMI are looking doomed to relegation and manager Geoff Lutley admitted his side were outclassed by one of the best sides he had seen this season.

"They were well organised and disciplined and our keeper made a number of magnificent saves to keep the score down," he said.

"We had a couple of chances but Chris Lane hit the bar and Gary Williams fired over from only a couple of yards out.

"I am disappointed because we only performed for 20 minutes in the first-half and a short spell in the second. We did not get about them like we did at Barnet and Aldershot."

Lutley had Carl Rezai and Michael Warwick making their debuts, but they did not impress in an overrun midfield.

Craig Stanley's curling shot opened the scoring, with Jamie Pitman adding a second before the break at the end of a move started by former Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham star Graham Hyde. David Brown rounded off the victory with a long-range volley into the right hand corner just after the restart..
